Business Owners Versus Pipe-Dreamers!

March 10th

I’ve come to the conclusion there are two types of people in the online marketing community…

  1. Dreamers (Pie-in-the-sky) Seekers
  2. Real Business People

Which are you?

Now, some people are brand spanking new (newbies) and they of course are so green to this business they are not sure what they are yet.  That’s understandable and natural.  However, even newbies need to learn sooner than later that in order to have your very own “home based business” you have to first be a business owner… and have a business owner mindset… and take action like a business person does… and take risks like business people do… and make things happen like small businesses owners do… and ultimately… treat this like a business, like real business people do.

However, as a newbie (or even seasoned person) enters this wild and rocking world of online business, it’s no wonder so many of them get steamrolled, run-over, hammered, knocked-up and strangled by the consistent hammering of promises to EASY and LAZY money!

Isn’t it everywhere we look nowadays?

Everywhere we look, there’s a new offer promising a magic button.  It’s usually some pie-in-the-sky wicked offer for easy, do-nothing, and make a gillion dollars.  It’s usually cheap on the front end and an impulse buy.  Most people buy it because they say to themselves “what’s $35?  I”ll try it out and if it is terrible, so what”

Guess what, it’s often terrible and the owners of that product just made off with your $35.  But, that’s a pipe-dream right?  It’s not a real business plan or model or system, is it?  Whatever it is, that’s what people buy left and right and then get a very nasty taste in their mouths they cant seem to get out.  Yuck!

Additionally, all those pie-in-the-sky products further fuel the “mindset” that pipe-dreams are real.  They are not.  But, the cycle continues and the newbies continue on down the rabbit hole, buying the next latest pipe-dream everyone is promoting, again hoping that new pipe-dream is the real deal.  It’s not… of course.

Next, the newbie either gives up, continues to seek out the REAL pipe-dream, or becomes part of the “jaded-crew”.  AND, that crew is growing rapidly into an enormously giant, festering, neon army of pissed off rock throwers.  That army of jaded folks then groups the entire industry into one fat category…  “SCAMMERS!”

Even though, there are plenty of real people with real advice to share to those who care to gain that advice, most are giving up even “sharing” anymore… and leaving the market to the wolves!  And guess what?  The wolves are running the kingdom and are the loudest around.  All you hear nowadays are the wolves… and boy are they loud now.  Real loud.

So, although the wolves come dressed in glitter and certainly sound good with their magic buttons and “conversions” the truth is, more and more “real” people are either leaving the market or are joining the wolves.  Ouch!  Sure, there are some good folks left, but they are harder to find and are not speaking as loudly as they once did.

What is a newbie to do now?  Follow the wolves?  Find the needle in the haystack?   Give up?  Try something else?  Figure it out themselves?  Well, here’s my advice if you want it:  If I were you, I’d figure it out myself… and if I do find a real person, who is sincere and willing to help, take it!

Additionally, the days of just anyone picking up a lap top and an ebook and quickly making good money seem almost over. Heck, for years now, I’ve been hard on “article marketing” and many have debated me and even threw rocks at me for speaking out against their “easy business” tactic.  It’s not working as well as it used to right?  With Google changes and all?

It’s not as easy as it used to be.  I remember bidding on keywords that were not relevant and raking in easy-easy cash.  For example, I’d bid on JCPenny.com (as a keyword) and get tons of cheap traffic to whatever I wanted to drive that traffic to (like CPA offers).  Those days are long gone now.

Therefore, my advice is this… create and build a real business now.  Most are still shell shocked and still chasing shiny objects… still thinking this Internet Marketing thing is glitter.  They still think they can hit the jackpot by finding some loophole and raking it in for financial freedom.  Get Real!  C’mon.  If you think like that, it’s called a pipe-dream and you might be better off getting a lottery ticket.

Instead, think of building a real business and treating this like a real business.  Be a small business owner.  Be a home based business owner.  Find a problem that millions of people have and solve it!  Then market that solution very well… over the long term.

Stick to one business, not fifty.  I see people all the time with so many different opportunities they are chasing, they never give any ONE business it’s due effort.  In today’s Internet Marketing world, that’s not going to cut it anymore.  You must focus on one business/formula and get that ONE business to work first.

If you give 50 different things effort and focus, then each business will only get 5% of your effort and focus and 5% is just not good enough to win (winning!) You need one business formula and that one formula needs 150% of your effort, focus, resources and brain power.  That one business needs all of you.

You have to tweak and test things.  I mean when you look at people in this market and see them all over the place, there’s no Earthly way they are testing things out, because they never get that far.  They never tweak things to get them to work eventually, because they never tweak anything.  They simply move on to some other pie-in-the-sky and hope a miracle happens and they strike pure gold.  Duh, not going to happen.  Lottery mindset and it’s dead wrong.

Instead, build a real business and focus all you have on that one thing.  Test, track and tweak that baby until it works like a charm.  Do that and you’ll leave 97% of the rest of the pipe-dreamers in your dust.  Focus on one business and your bank account will soon thank you… A LOT!

There are four or five main areas:

  1. Product Creation (solving problems)
  2. Traffic (prospects and leads)
  3. Conversions (this requires testing, tracking and tweaking)
  4. Technology (almost a must for the net right?)
  5. Outsourcing (you cannot do it all good yourself.  Get others to cover your weaknesses)

There’s one other area that’s the most important of all.  This one category trumps all the one’s listed above.  On the surface it seems and sounds easy and common sense but it’s far from that.  This one category is TOPS and it’s the one violated the most.  It is the difference maker and it’s of the highest importance.  Most continue to ignore it and most out there will NEVER, EVER, EVER fix it properly.  They’ll continue to lose and lose big because of it.  It’s what needs to change for money to flow in and it’s hard as heck to fix.  It’s simply refered to as:

  1. YOUR MINDSET

Your mindset is critical, paramount, required, necessary and HUGELY important.  It’s the difference maker, the game changer, and prosperity will NEVER show up without it.  Money flocks to those who have it and it is as elusive to the tune of a “lifetime” for those who don’t have it.

Those who dont have it will continue to chase lottery ticket pies-in-the-sky, and they will continue to BLAME the living daylights out of everyone and everything but themselves.  They’ll throw rocks at the successful, bash them, complain, make excuses, curse them, chastise them and even threaten them with violence.  They will never stop and look in the mirror and realize all the problems are because of…………THEM!

To change your mindset, here’s some homework:

  1. Only surround yourself with empowering people and ignore the negativity that’s abundant
  2. Stop thinking lack (look it up and research it if you dont understand what I’m saying)
  3. Escape comfort zones (this is huge and you should try to escape your comfort zones every day!)
  4. Build self confidence and put the responsibilities for everything in your life on YOUR own shoulders.  You are responsible for everything good or bad in your life… and the day you take that responsibility fully is the day you’ll grow towards a wealth/prosperity mindset.
  5. Work-out or exercise… drink more water… eat healthy foods more often… drop pounds if you are overweight.  I’ve been doing this more and more lately and its amazing how much this has boosted my mindset even higher than it was before.
  6. Invest in yourself.  Read books, listen to audios, watch videos, follow those who are where you want to be and ask questions.
  7. Be more aggressive than you are used to being.  IN business, movers and shakers (aggressive people) get what they want while the passive, non-aggressive people have a slower, longer route to prosperity.  When self confidence is high, becoming more aggressive is almost automatic.  I’m a laid back, easy going guy, but when I turn up the volume on aggressiveness, I always get more of what I want faster!  This is true with many others I know.  Ask more.  Dont take no for an answer so easily.  Push people.  Follow up.  Bug people.  Make things happen and handle rejection and failure better, because we all get it.  Just dont let it stop you!
  8. Be the one who sells products… not the one buying them left and right
  9. Be the one who recruits affiliates or people, not the one who gets recruited predominately.
  10. Be the one who owns a MLM company, not the one who joins every one that comes along that sounds good
  11. Be the one with an affiliate program and recruit affiliates
  12. Strike list swaps.
  13. Strike Joint Venture deals.
  14. Partner up with people.
  15. Make propositions and proposals.
  16. Make things happen.
  17. Focus on one thing
  18. Never quit.
  19. Be happy every day, all day.  Life is short.
  20. Buy my products

Ok, I just threw in the last one. :)

So what are you now after reading this?  A pipe-dreamer… or a business owner!  Now, get to work.

Let’s talk about making money online

November 7th

This video explains the 4 or 5 main areas you should focus on to make money online.  If you are weak in any of these areas, then it could be costing you revenue.  If you focus on these four areas only, then results (money) is sure to come your way.  Grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best and you’ll get a pretty good idea what’s going on with your online business results (or lack of results).

More to come…

Enjoy!

Eric Louviere

PS – What are some other areas you think (besides these five) are important to online success?

Dude, where’s your six figures?

September 24th

How long have you been in the game?

I’m talking about the game, the desire, the passion, the quest for making six figures from the comfort of your own lazy couch (in your pajamas)… how long have you been after that elusive goal (dream)?  One year?  Three years?  Ten years?  More?  Or, maybe it’s only been a few months… and you’re just getting involved in “business opportunities”?  Maybe you just learned about this “internet marketing” thaang?

Let me make some guesses… (uh oh!)

  1. You are just looking for a simple formula… a simple plan… a simple scheme-type-loop hole you can follow each day that brings in just $200 or so per day.  “If only I could find a simple way to earn money from home… to just make an extra $200 per day… then I’d work hard on that”
  2. You have bought products on “making money online” and they all suck
  3. You have spent around $250 max on paid traffic… and that’s a grand total from the past three years… all CPA and Click Bank offers combined… because you keep pausing the campaigns… because you’re losing money each time you try
  4. You wrote some articles
  5. You’ve put up a few blogs
  6. You tried shooting a video – a few times
  7. You have an aweber account

Any of that even close?  Oh, you thought of buying a mentor too… oh, and you realize there’s a lot of free stuff all over the place too (why buy stuff)?  Any of this hitting home at all?  If I’m way off then this post is probably not really for you, and you’re just different than the rest of us who started down the same journey.

I too went down that pathway… that journey… those same steps.  Hey, chalk me up as one of the snapper-heads who bought [[paid---survey---crap]].  Yep, been there, done that, own several t-shirts and fridge magnets.  I’ve freaking been there.

One million dollars later………………………………..

I figured out some stuff along that journey.  I paid attention and noticed a few common denominators amongst the online rich (marketers).  Yes sirrrrr… I watched and listened… read between the lines… figured some chit out.  I got it down now homie.  Two words:

  1. Joint Ventures
  2. Copywriting & Conversions

Say it isn’t so Master Louviere!?!  Thou has spoken no blessed words upon thy tounge

Huh?

Yes, you too, go forward and read between the lines.  Yonder bro!  Over there in da hills, dats where the true gold is found!  In JV’s and coming up with a killer hook!  Sell them what they want to buy… not what you want to sell them.  Do they want the truth sir Louviere?  The truth is a four letter word… it hurts my precious ears to hear… ouch!  quit that!  It’s called “work”.  OH NO HE DIDNT!

You need leverage young soul:

Leverage such as:

  • A freaking list!
  • An ability to convert!  (why you talkin crazy?)
  • A killer product (like a plr you mean? no, unless it’s one of mine)
  • Contacts (like for my eyes?)
  • A branded name in the marketplace (got cha, guru stuff)
  • Super good tech abilities (nerds)

and more.

Leverage = assets and you need a few.

Are you on the right track now?  Or, are you **STILL** looking for the little, elusive, magical, loop hole, scheme, (paid survey) type thingy? Next, I’ll talk about why most are afraid of JV’s and why copywriting and conversions are completely ignored by most out there.  Whatcha think?  Why do most ignore JV’s and never invest time into learning copy and conversions?

Jason Moffatt is what now?

February 13th

Recently, Internet marketer and road-trip professional, Jason Moffatt showed up in Austin, TX for a meet and greet mixer downtown.  There were 30 or so folks hanging out to meet with each other and listen to JMO speak from stage.

We had a lot of fun as you can imagine, and JMO expressed how he had always wanted to visit Austin.  In this town, we have lots of marketers, real estate investors, mlm’ers etc.  I try to get downtown for those mixers whenever I can.

I’ve always liked Jason, as do most people, and I think he’s someone to follow.  Here’s a link to his blog:

JMO MOJO MOFO

The thing I dig the most about JMO is he is “REAL” as they come.  He’s just himself and has nothing to hide.  He has a lot of character and I like people who have lots of character.  He lets his subscribers and customers “know” him, which I think is extremely important.

I mean, online is becoming more and more transparent, and the connections between people are becoming closer online.  In the past, everyone hid behind some fake screen name.  Today, people want to know who you are and what you stand for, and what your true personality is like.

We all gravitate towards like minded people.  We like hanging-out, following, and buying from those we think are like us, or those we admire.  It’s hard to admire someone you don’t know — personality wise.

However, most marketers online… especially newbies or intermediate marketers continue to keep their personalities secretive or hidden to their subscribers and customers.  I think that’s a big mistake.  Jason talked about it on stage too.  He’s right.

Videos, audios, events, webinars, tele-seminars, etc do a HUGE benefit to you, if you can conduct those.  I mean, dont be afraid of doing videos, interviews, tele-calls, etc because it can let your subscribers and the marketplace get to know you better.  They want to get to know you better.

Some can pull it off with talented writing.  What I’m saying here is some folks are talented at writing in such a manner, their personality shines through.  That can certainly work too, but I think it’s hard to compete with video & audios.

If your subscribers and customers can see and hear you, you just separated yourself from most of your competition who hides behind screen names and simple text emails (or even blogs).  I think JMO and a few others in our industry certainly have this down.  They let people know the real them, and it certainly increases reception of them.  Additionally, it can explode conversions too!

Lastly, JMO can be a bit controversial at times and who knows what kind of trouble the dude has been in (or will get in), but regardless of all that, he’s certainly entertaining… has solid insights to share… and people really like entertainment mixed with solid advice.

Universal Laws Of Wealth?

January 25th

I’m certainly not someone to take seriously when I talk about the universe.. or any special laws that exists that brings fortunes to you by merely broadcasting that to the universe… because I dont know if those laws actually exist or not.

However, I will admit to you that I do read and pay attention to Laws Of The Universe because I think there’s surely something to the principles that derive from those laws… and the results can be phenominal if used wisely and effectively.

For example, one book I have talks about the universe (in place of Gods, etc) and says that the universe is an amplipher of what you project out into the Universe.  In other words, if you broadcast out into the universe that you hate this and hate that, and are angry and frustrated, then the universe ampliphies that even more.

I do know people who I say are addicted to crisis.  I mean, everytime I turn around they have some new major drama in their lives.  It’s one thing after another.  Perhaps this ampliphing thing is true in some way… and I guess there’s plenty of logical (non metaphysical) ways of explaining that.

Who knows what the logical explanation is for what it is.  But, it is true that people shape their own little worlds based on their beliefs and expectations for themselves, and how they react to all sorts of things that happen in their lives.  Perception is different for all.  One person can react positively, while another reacts negatively, for the exact same thing.  Perception makes us all different I guess.

And — the laws say “that in which you focus on — expands”.  Duh!  The more you focus on something, the more it expands in that little self-world of yours.  If you are someone who watches a lot of comedy on TV or at the movie theater, I bet you laugh a lot in your life.  See what I mean?

If you eat, drink and breathe “wealth”, I bet you are knee deep in “wealth” accumulation, and know lots of “wealth’s” principles, rules and techniques for “wealth” acquisition.

I know that when I think about the universal laws, I think about what it is I’m projecting often to that starry universe.  I mean, exactly what I’m projecting…

Am I projecting happiness, joy and laughter?  Or, am I projecting anger, frustration and anxiety?  Is it mixed… where some days I project one thing and other days I project something else entirely?  And if it is mixed like that, what exactly causes me (within myself) to project different things at different times?  Is there a trigger that causes me to project frustration? What is that trigger?  Same for happiness… are there triggers?

For example, my wife asked me to go to the grocery store with her.  Just so you know, I hate going to the stupid grocery store.  But, I went and I took my headphones.  I listend to some Jack Johnson (I like his music) and I felt myself amost dancing down the isles.  I had felt bad today, with cedar allergies here in Austin, but ended up feeling good, and that provoked me to write this article.  I went from bad mood to good mood, and I think the trigger was listening to some music I enjoy.  Easy enough huh?  Bring on Stevie Ray Vaughn baby!

Look, I dont know about the laws of the universe, but I think the constant thoughts and moods we have… become habitual.  And, those habitual moods, thoughts and emotions can shape our entire “fricken” lives.

Maybe that’s why old Napolean titled the historic book, “Think And Grow Rich!”

Motivation Is Only Temporary

January 23rd

Being motivated is a good thing.  It can catapult you, or spark you towards achieving whatever it is you are looking to achieve.  However, I believe “motivation” is only temporary.  It’s not enough to win.  It’s not enough to be merely motivated.

Motivation is temporary and drive is forever!

It’s much better to be driven.  To be driven is to be nearly obsessed.  Scratch that, it IS being obsessed with achieving your goals.  If you are driven, then you are “pulled” to your work… instead of “pushing” yourself to do something you dont want to do.

It’s sort of like me working out currently.  I have to push myself to do that.  I am not pulled to workout at all.  My wife is pulled to excersise.  If she does not work-out, she gets edgy.  If I dont work on my business or goals, I get edgy.  It’s the same thing.  She’s as fit as can be, and me, I need a little help in that area.

But with business and goals, I am pulled in that area… and have a purpose.  If you have a purpose, then you are more likely going to continue to do the things necessary to achieve your goals… and win!  That purpose I’m talking about tends to come in the form of two main areas…

Inspiration (which is like motivation for most) and desperation (which is like, I hate my job and I have got to get out of this).  I learned that from Tony Robbins.  The man is right.  I see it day after day with clients of mine and customers.  I saw it in myself too.  My drive picked up and became an obsession when I just had to get out of my day job years ago.

I mean, that job was killing me on the inside (I was reacting in that manner, it really was not a bad job at all).  I made the job out to be something bad, and my reaction to everything at that job was bad. bad. bad.

In my little world, that job was the enemy.  Making money online from home, the freedom, was my dream and goal.  When I finally became desperate (probably because I was really sabotaging my job myself)… I became even more serious and more obsessed with my goals.  Now, that’s drive.  There’s a purpose there.

Make this business a “drive” for you.  Create a purpose, get inspired and stay committed.  It is certainly how you react that is important.  It’s your choices you make throughout your life.  If you have a habit of generating income online, it becomes addictive.  The more addictive you become to generating results, the more money you will make.

Now, some will say, “I”m fine not being obsessed with things Eric, thank you very much”.  Go right ahead.  Treat this like a side business… like a hobby… like something you do once in a while.  I play golf once in a while and you know what?  I suck at it.

Here’s what I call my Lil’ Smokies video… I hope you enjoy it as much as I do:

Make Money Online Internet

September 23rd

As you are aware, there are countless ways to make money online.  I mean, it seems every single day there’s some new method to follow to earn money from home.  Business opportunities are abundantly available… err pitched to us all over Internet-land.  Our email in-boxes are bombarded with every opportunity under the sun.  There is certainly no shortage of opportunities & possibilities, right?

My question is… if there are so many opportunities, why are there so many people out there still struggling to make any money at all?

Well, there is a learning curve to most methods/avenues to earning money and there is surely that thing we call “mindset” that gets in the way as well.  It’s true, mindset does get in the way for most out there looking to earn money.

BUT – I’d say besides mindset, most people are continuing to fail because they still don’t have a solid system yet.  I mean, they are still yet to fully master any one specific system for earning money.  You see, with the abundance of opportunities, it becomes easy to get caught up in the “jump-from-one-thing-to-the-next” cycle.

What this does, is it ensures that most people will continue to fail.  They will fail because they never get any good at any one specific thing.  Make sense?

Listen — in my mind I break it down to TWO ways to earn money online, and two ways only.  One way is what we call passive income and the other way is called “trade time for money”. There’s nothing wrong with either avenues, but I’d say most out there are “sold” on creating passive income.

WARNING: Even passive income tends to require ongoing effort.  I know, I know, we all want to be rich and lazy, free and beautiful, but the fact of the matter is, everything pretty much requires — work.  Ouch!  I said the four letter word right here on this family friendly blog.  Oh well.  Work, work, work.  Damn, it even hurts to type that word.

Anyway, back to reality here… the pipe dream of passive income is a beautiful thing.  And, it’s a real thing too.  I mean, I’ve made money on a passive level where I did nothing to earn that money for months and months.  I mean, I never lifted a finger for months or even touched the business for months, but money continued to come in to my bank account.  So, it is real.

And, a lot of people out there are very-very passionate about figuring out the puzzle that equals = passive income!  yah!

Trading time for money would be doing some service for people, like copywriting or graphic art, or programming, or… the list is endless.  The cool thing about offering services like this is there’s a HUGE fricken demand for those services.  And, while most out there are jumping around from one “major breakthrough system to earning money online” to the next “pie in the sky offer now hitting your inbox”, you could indeed build yourself a nice-fat-income from the comfort of your own home, doing what I call “brokering!”… or actually providing those types of services.

Yes, you’re not going to catch others out there teaching that or talking about brokering, because they are busy selling you what you wan to hear — passive income with the click of a button.  BTW, that stuff sells like hotcakes!

I actually do teach this stuff in great detail in my 5 Star Silver Club.  So, I guess people do infact want to simply quit jobs, earn extra income from home, make money fast and make money online from home doing anything it takes.

All in all, I will say this… I think the best way to earn a big-time passive income (for most out there) is to first become a business owner.  Brokering is one of those ways to become a business owner very easily and without spending much money at all.  And, while the money is flooding in with your brokering business — you can be building that passive income on the side.  Eventually – like what happened with me – your passive income will eclipse your “trade time for money” income, and your dreams will have come true.

Meanwhile, do yourself a huge favor and stop jumping from one pie-in-the-sky to the next pie-in-the-sky, and start selling stuff.  After all, nobody makes any money until someone sells something to someone who buys something.  Therefore, if you’re not selling… nobody is buying… and if you’re not selling anything, and nobody is buying anything, one thing is certain…. you are not making any money.  Sell stuff!

Why You Never See Significant Financial Results

April 2nd

Fictitious Bob says, “I’m serious this time, I’m finally ready.  I’m going to do this thing and start making some big bucks.  This is a great idea, a great market and making money is automatic.  Every single one of my online marketing chat friends has said they think this is a great idea too.  I’m going for it.  I’m excited.  Rock on baby!  My time has finally come.”

Bob then starts out hard, putting in tons of effort, excited and ready to make a big difference – finally – in his financial life.

But then, as time ticks by, the once excited and motivated Bob fizzles out into never-never-land.  Gone forever, and chalked up as yet another lost opportunity… another crash and burn idea… another year gone by with the same old, same old normal boring income Bob has been stuck at for decades.

“Where’s the six figure income… the millions… the Bentley… the free life… the riches?  Why has thou forsaken me?” – says Bob

“What gives?  Is something wrong with me?  Am I jaded… cursed… dumb… lazy… mental??” – says Bob

Every day, millions of people around the world, normal good human beings ask themselves the same thing and wonder why, no matter what they do, or how hard they try, money escapes them – for decades.  Well, I believe there are numerous answers to this – and many philosophical, psychological and meta physical solutions as well.

No, I’m not going mystic on ya’

But, I will share with you one of my opinions on why bob (and millions like him) continue to lose out on the financial abundance available to all of us.  And, it’s not an easy thing to answer either.  There’s not ONE solution or avenue for acquiring riches, but there is one I see more times than not.  And, we’ll talk about that right now.

In one word, the solution I’m referring to is: Your brain!

Ok, two words I meant.  Regardless, your brain is what’s holding you back.  Your subconscious brain that is.  Indeed, your sub mind is kicking your ass and preventing you from experiencing anything out of the ordinary.

Out of the ordinary = not ordinary income you are used to making or receiving.

I guess the best analogy I’ve ever heard pertaining to this is the thermostat analogy.  Basically, if it’s hot as hell outside, your air condition will kick it up and keep the room cooled at a comfortable 74 degrees, even though it’s 101 degrees outside.

Yep, that little thermostat chills the room, calms you down and allows you to be very, very comfortable.  If you lived in Austin, TX like I do (or worse Houston, TX like I used to live) you would be some kind of rare person to live without air conditioning.  (I almost said, “some-kind-of-stupid” to live without air conditioning, but I refrained from saying that to avoid offending anyone stupid enough to live without air conditioning).

Anyway, the point here is your subconscious brain is a thermostat that keeps you chilled and comfortable.  If you venture outside of that comfortable room temperature, you begin squirming around, sweating, become irritable, edgy, bitchy, irrational, clumsy, lazy, dumb, lightheaded, confused and can even die a most horrible death.  See?  It’s uncomfortable to be in a heat wave.

But, that thermostat SNAPS you back into comfort.  Your sub mind SNAPS you back to comfort world.  Your sub mind says to you, “HEY!  IDIOT!  I”m Fricken hot and uncomfortable here.  HELLO??  Please… PAAALEEESE, for the love of God… kick the air conditioning on and lets get back to feeling normal ok?”

BAM!  You’re back to normal… the same old, same old.

The same income you’ve been enjoying for decades.

However, there is good news to changing these “comfortable” results.

The answer is to do those things that are uncomfortable for a sustained, long term, amount of time – consistently, day after day, for over a month – or even longer, if you can.

If you do almost anything consistently for over a month, it will become a habit.  Therefore, you can create good habits on purpose.  And, as we all know, action creates results.  The problem is most never take consistent action for over a week, much less a month.

Heck, most never make it to day 3, much less a week… or a month or more.

So, if you’re used to making X amount for decades now, and want to earn more… then guess what?  You have to do things differently.  You’ll have to take different actions to achieve 100k compared to 20k per year.

I mean, if I get my chubby butt on a tread mill, and do it everyday for over a month or more, I’ll actually begin to enjoy it, expect it and yearn for it.  Just like millionaire online marketers yearn for more and more cash flow.  It’s an obsession, and addiction… fun, rewarding, challenging and it’s just part of us.  It’s just part of our DNA now.  It’s just comfortable.  AND, it’s actually uncomfortable to not work.

For example, I have a good buddy who does very well online.  Him and his family went through a hurricane and they were without power for over a week.  He told me that he was actually “edgy” and uncomfortable, because he is used to working often, almost daily.

The people I know who do very well online, will even email me, or call me while they are on vacation – to talk business.  Even on their honeymoons.  Success and achievement is addictive… and it becomes hardwired in your brain.

You do not have to be a genius to be rich.  You just need to re-wire your brain.  And, no.  You dont have to be a work-a-holic either.  I just picked up and noticed that amongst those I know who are rich from online marketing.

For them, the thermostat is set at a comfortable 73 degrees too.  The difference is their comfort zone is making six figures or more (or whatever THEY feel comfortable making).  If you make six figures and want to make millions, then guess what you need to change?  You need to change too.  You need to do some re-wiring as well.

Lastly, if you have lived your entire life (decades) not really wanting to be rich… not working on yourself… not investing in yourself through personal development… or small business experience… and all of a sudden, today, or just recently, you have decided you now want to be rich, then you may need to do some SERIOUS re-wiring.

For many, they have been working on themselves for decades.  For most who have achieved financial abundance, they have been “working on their sub minds” for decades.  They go decades without much significant financial differences.  Then, like a switch flipped, the income floods in.

Finally, at last!  The sub mind has been re-wired enough, to create new neurological pathways so that financial abundance is FINALLY — comfortable.

Make Millions Online! (An Aspen Adventure)

December 16th

We recently took a family vacation to Aspen, Colorado for almost two weeks.  Initially, it was one week, but we loved Aspen so much we extended the fun.  I’d have to say that Aspen is one of my favorite places in America.  It’s so beautiful there, it’s almost unbelieveable.

Well…. if you like moutanins, rivers, wildlife, excellent food, cool people, shopping, etc etc then Aspen is tremendous.  We spent our time dining at fine restaurants, shopping and snowboarding in Snow Mass (about 10 minutes from Aspen).

I’m not as in shape as I used to be, but I still managed to zip down the blue runs and avoid breaking any bones.  My wife was a beginner, but I have to admit, she picked it up quicker than I ever did.

As far as celebrities, everyone said they were everywhere to be seen, but I did not see anyone recognizable.  Well, I thought I saw a couple celebrities, but my wife told me I was “wrong”.  That happens from time to time you know…

While in Aspen, we decided to look up a professional photographer to snap some family pictures.  Boy was that ever a great idea!  We were as lucky as could be too.  We landed a super cool guy who was nothing short of spectacular.

If you are ever in the Aspen area, be sure and get in contact with Jim Paussa and get him to do his magic.  We had a blast taking pictures and Jim and his assistant were very nice and extremely good with my son Julian.  The pictures were fantastic and the experience was tremendous!

(Thanks Jim!)

Also, while in Aspen, you’ll quickly realize just how much money people make out there.  I mean, it’s one thing to bring in a million dollars, but it’s quite another thing to see the money in Aspen.  There are houses there that reach into the twenty million dollar range (and plenty of them!)

I checked out the Real Estate market and it just blew me away how expensive it is there.  We took pictures in a townhouse that was priced at 6 million.  The shops downtown had furs and art, paintings and clothes that were so expensive, I began feeling an uncontrollable sense of “I-Need-To-Make-Even-More-Money!”

There are always different levels of income to strive for!

The Bug!

October 15th

When it comes to earning big cash online, I’ve noticed more than a gazillion times, when individuals get that special itch (no, not that one, the one for making money) and out of nowhere, they seem like changed people.  They now, all of a sudden, have that twinkle in their eyes.  You see, all of a sudden — like a bolt of lightning — a person becomes obsessed.

It’s this bug, or virus… that bites us hard… and for a short period of time, we are one with a burning desire… a passion… an obsession, to REALLY make a big, bold, quantum change in our lives.  It’s as if something clicked, or some switch was flipped, or some light bulb went off in our brains.

Our attitude is different, our breathing is different and we hold our heads up high.  We know it’s now that time to make a difference… a change… and shoot for the stars!  I’ve seen this bug many times, and have experienced it many times myself.  We all have, haven’t we?

Call it motivation… or inspiration, whatever… it gets us going and helps us jump out of bed in the mornings (or afternoons for me).  It’s a sudden and drastic change of attitude.  Sometimes, the inspiration comes from others… or from some audio program, or even a passing sports car.  The inspiration comes in many forms and from many different types of sources.

What is this thing?  Is it MOTIVATION?

I’ve seen it a million times, haven’t you?

Well, there’s a downside to this thing we call “motivation”.  You see… It’s not all a bed of roses and “happy-happy-joy-joy” time either.  There is a downside to this common occurrence and it’s downright unfortunate as well.

Because you see, although motivation or inspiration is quite enjoyable for a short fix, it’s not the answer to riches (or success).  What I’m shooting at here is “motivation” although enjoyable for the short term, is only temporary.

And as we know, temporary sucks.

In other words, if motivation is great and “motivation” is all we need to succeed, then everyone would be successful.  Because, everyone — at some point in their lives — has been motivated.  Well, maybe not everyone, I can think of a few who may have never in the history of their lives been motivated to do a damn thing, but for the masses out there, motivation is extremely common, but temporary… sorry.

So, if motivation is temporary, and temporary success sucks, then what’s the answer to long term success?

I’d call it “DRIVE”.

Motivation is temporary, but “Drive” is forever.

And with that in mind, very-very few people on this planet are driven.  That’s why most react to everything in life — just coasting through life reacting to what life throws at them.  Life is in control, not you, if you are only and merely motivated.

Being driven is the answer.

Someone could say, “Well, long term motivation will generate success”.  Yep.  That’s called Drive. Not motivation.  And, because motivation exists… that bug… or virus… because it is prevalent everywhere, with most people, then it’s no good.  It’ fake.  It’s wishful thinking.  It’s a hope and a prayer.  It’s “Nice try, thanks for playing, game over”.  It’s temporary and temporary sucks.

So, when someone comes up to me and says, “I’m jacked-up… I’m finally ready… I’m geared and ready to conquer the world” I say, “great! go for it!”  But, truly… I wait.  I wait to see if that temporary motivation… that bug… that virus… that illusion… manifests itself into “DRIVE”.  Because without drive, it’s all just wishful thinking.  And, wishful thinking does not pay bills very well or allow for “MTWF”

MTWF = More Time With Family

In conclusion… I’m not completely against “motivation”.  There is one instance or circumstance I believe “motivation” is quite powerful and completely empowering.  That one instance is when people who are driven, become motivated!  Now, if you want to see some big things happen, very-very fast, watch closely when a driven person becomes motivated… that’s just flat awesome to see!

It’s more like Motivation² (to the second power).  It’s motivation on steroids!  It’s freaking beautiful.

Be Driven,

Eric Louviere
