Everyone talks about focus and how important it is for earning money online, but this is my take on focus and where you should be putting yours at!  Sure, focus is focus and in today’s day and age, most people have enough problems focusing on ANYTHING at all, much less online marketing.

I actually call this the ADD society.  Everyone… it seems…. is so busy, hastily jumping around from one thing to the next while multitasking feverishly — additively — spinning their wheels and getting nowhere fast.

If you’ve ever studied the 80/20 Principle, you can add more time, freedom, life and yes even money to your entire life.  What you focus on expands.  Where do you constantly put your focus?  If you constantly put it on distracting type things (what other people want you to do instead of what you NEED to do), then obviously you’ll end up making everyone else happy instead of yourself.

For example, your email account can absolutely steal your focus and time.  It can steal your direction and cost you pounds of income.  Instead of making “checking your email” a habit, start ignoring it more and more.  Start working an hour or two before checking that email account and pay attention to how much more you get done.

I do believe — for whatever reason — most people distract themselves on purpose.  Call it “Self Sabotage” or “Fear of Success” or whatever label you want to put on it… it exists.  There is something there, I know it.  There is something that we do as humans, in our subconsious mind, where we distract ourselves on purpose.
