What It Feels Like To Make More Money

If you are like most people who read my stuff, then you are someone who is looking to either make your first income online ever… or looking to INCREASE YOUR INCOME even higher.  Well, if you are one who wants to make even more money and believe you should and can make more money… lots more money… then I think you’ll dig what I have to say here.

When you take a strong look at your income/revenue, you’ll notice that you have a system that is working.  That system is producing income.  You’ve got the system down and it’s nice.  You see many more people out there struggling to even believe this online marketing  thing is real or not.  But make no mistake about it, you’re making some cash and you are starting to really want to make even more than ever.  But how?

This past weekend I went to the pen and notebook to just think.  I like doing that in the quiet and many times I get some really big breakthroughs doing that.  However, what’s really weird is even if I spend an hour consumed in my thoughts, the really big breakthroughs come later one when I’m doing something else… like taking a shower, or jogging (ok walking)… or driving… or cleaning… or watching a movie.  Weird huh?

Well, I took a strong hard look at the past few years of making money online and tried to identify the true “money sources”… and narrow-in on those sources… and think of how I can increase those money sources even more.  Mo Money!

Weird thing is, it’s not rocket science at all, but it is indeed powerful.  Lets take a look at the main areas real fast:

MORE CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS

Sounds like common sense doesn’t it?  Wrong.  It’s not.  First, do you even think of your customers as clients?  Do you cherish them?  Do you love them?  I know we all hate the haters we get, so ignore them to an extent (your attitude wise)… and only use haters to improve your game.  Do not let them distract, limit, or persuade you to slow your roll.

But customers (clients)… do you cherish them enough?  In the world of quick transactions and automated income, and outsourced Filipinos, and ebooks, and software, it’s easy to ignore them and forget they even exist as people.  But, if you cherish them and love them, and give so much they are blown away by you, how can you help but to make a crap load more money?  A happy customer (client) is much easier to sell other stuff than it is to gain a brand new customer (client)… right?

Therefore, one avenue for more revenue to your bank account is to cherish your clients, treat them better than anyone else does, give, give, give… and keep giving.  Because, if you love them… they’ll love YOU!

Get more clients.  How?  Well, look at all the resources and areas and distribution avenues and opportunities available to you.  Chances are, if you’ve mastered one system/model for making money online, you ONLY have one or maybe two avenues for generating new customers.

Perhaps, your only way of getting new customers is through SEO.  That would mean there’s an abundance of opportunity for you to gain more new customers through Paid Traffic… Solo Ads… List Swaps… Banners… etc.  Or, perhaps you have TWO avenues (SEO and paid traffic).  What else could you do?  Affiliates maybe?  Joint Ventures perhaps?  Referrals possibly?  Direct mail even?  Integration you think?

Adding just one other avenue of “getting clients” can severely increase your overall income deposited into your bank account.  This alone can double, triple or more… your cash!

LTV BABY!

Want even more cash?  Increase the lifetime value of your customers (LTV).  If you’re making some money online, chances are you have a system that’s working for you.  If your system involves gaining “customers”… then this is a solid gold mine waiting for you to do something about it.  However, if your system is just making money off of people clicking links (Adsense for example)… then perhaps your tripled income will come from changing your business model and increasing your chances for even more income.

Let’s assume you have an info product, and if you don’t, then you need some.  That move alone can change your life.  So, you have an ebook or video course or something.  Now, focus on increasing the LTV of those customers you have and get.  Sound like common sense?  NOT EVEN!

Millions and millions of online businesses have no backend, have no up-sells, have nothing else they sell their customers other than their main product.  These businesses could easily add products (more expensive products)… and could even add other people’s products (as an affiliate or Joint venture partner).

If one customer buys from you at around $50 per sale, just adding a couple other products… even a high ticket one that’s much more expensive, could increase your income 8 times or more!!  And, if you are a consultant, or someone looking to make their first bucks online, then HELLO?!  Did you catch the part where I said millions and millions of online businesses have no backend?  BINGO and money in da bank my friend!

In fact, I heard of a business here in Austin, TX that has generated millions of dollars very quickly by just doing THAT… increasing the revenue for online businesses that are already established.  They have no backends brotha’

There are some other areas identified for increasing income big time.  I’m not going to share them on this post, but might in the next post or future posts.  However, I’d love to hear what you think of.  If you come up with some other areas, let’s hear them.  What are some ways to increase your income?  I’ve got a list and I’m checking it twice!

    You are so right, Eric. We do need to love and take care of our customers. The bigger the back end (sorry for the pun) the more you can give and the more you can receive. Great ideas do come when you least expect it. Thanks

    Spot on Eric.

    It could even be as simple as promoting other people’s quality stuff to your list. Many product creators never promote others to increase revenue and some affiliate marketers never bother to create their own product to profit from other affiliate relationships they have naturally build over the course of time.

    There is so much we can do if only we brainstorm and reflect from time to time about increasing revenue streams for existing and newer avenues.

    Hey Eric. Sup dude? Nice thoughts!

    I learned that the best thing you can do for your customers/clients is to:

    a) listen to what they are asking for

    b) sell them what they WANT

    c) give them what they NEED

    That way they fulfill their emotional desire of getting what they wanted but also enjoy the benefit of getting what they really needed.

    Does that make any sense to you?

    I have no made any cash online as of yet, I’m in a dead end job that use to keep me slaving 65 to 80 hours per week as a home health aide, I take the job down-time at nite to deep study and comprehend these strategies. Now I only work 40 to 45 hours and joined Yours and Jack Mize’s OffLine x Factor to start taking action, so I can see that the ideas that you just blogged about make good sense. I also see that one must take these ideas and tailor them to ones own style thanks.

    yeah, that makes sense of course. A lot of people dont “listen to what they are asking for” because they are too caught up in what they want.

    you see, many come up with an idea for making money and then go force it on some market… instead of listening to the customers, finding out what they want, then provide it.

    That’s right! And, millions dont do even that! I’m serious. Millions of sites out there even collect leads and never email them… or never even think to promote someone Else’s products to THEIR customers.

    …they think…”you mean promote competition to MYYYYY customers?” instead of thinking…”What else do my customers want and need?”

    Treating your clients right is the key. I am amazed by how many marketers just hammer their clients to death with promotions! What I have found is that by creating a relationship, not only do you value and give value to your clients but you also learn so much in return. By creating a relationship, I learn what my clients want and need — this makes providing it to them so much easier! :) Great post, as always, Eric.

    Cool post Eric… I particularly like what you said about cherishing your customers. I think Marlon always tells his customers they’re on the his ‘A List’ which is exactly that.

    Treat them right and make the feel special – they have, after all, put the food on your table.

    Good reminder… sad that we need reminding though.

    Good post Eric, I work the grave yard shift and am jus startin out online and cant wait to tell em where they can shove that nite shift job!…lol…anyways i read ur posts and it’s just fuel to the fire for me man!….chalk me down for bruised, battered, n bandaided cuz i know im gonna scrape my knees n elbows gettin there but as sure as im writing this I WILL GET THERE!!…peace out braa!
