Today I’m pulling back the curtain and revealing some of the techniques we share with our highest level VIP clients to get them a steady flow of leads coming into their coaching business. When we first meet with a client we want to see their existing funnel/process. How do they currently acquire leads?
During these reviews one of two things happen…
1.We discover a lackluster funnel or complete lack there of
2. Some over complicated 32 step nightmare of a process.
And look, I don’t give these guys grief because it happens. As an entrepreneur in the daily grind pushing to make sales and make ends meet sometimes efficiency and effectiveness goes out the window. It happens to the best of us.
This allows us to step in with a proven dialed in system and simplify the process. A process so simple yet no one does it. It looks like this:
- Finding the right audience
- Putting your message in front of that audience
- Dialing in exactly who will become a customer
And then it’s lights out!
Notice I didn’t say anything about application forms, surveys, strategy calls, sales funnels, etc…
Because none of that matters until you can put your message in front of the right people.
The people that will become your clients. The people that will become your success stories.
9.9 times out of 10 a new client isn’t doing any of this right when we first meet together. So even with the right system in place they will struggle to convert. They’re simply chasing anyone and everyone with their message and not the people who want and need their coaching offer.
This is a big waste of time and money. Ad dollars are spent on people who will never become clients. Time is wasted communicating with and being on strategy calls with people who will never buy.
So how do we find the perfect leads that are beating down the door to buy our coaching programs?
Identifying your perfect client
It starts with defining who your perfect client is. I know, I know, nobody likes this part but this is the essential first part of a very effective client landing strategy.
The Burn Stage
The burn stage is where we collect some crucial data about your audience. This part is exciting because we’re going to have some solid data about the people that are most likely to join your coaching programs. It’s a much easier sale when you know going in they want it and you got it!
Now we take the data that we acquired and refine it. With this data we can build an audience to target with your message and get it in front of the right people. This is where the magic happens… ad costs go down and conversions go through the roof!
Now we scale those ads to reach more people… well… until you tell us to turn the ads off because you can’t keep up ;).
